This is yet another specialist vehicle to add to our range of liveried vehicles on the website.

We have produced these to order before for a few of our clients but now we are offering our Road-Rail Balfour Beatty Wheeled Excavator here in limited numbers.

click here to see larger imageBased on real Road-Rail Wheeled Excavators, these machines are used by Balfour Beatty for repair/construction work on the UK rail network

As you can see from the prototype images, the Road-Rail features actually work, lifting the excavator road wheels off the tracks just like the real thing.

Painted in rail warning yellow, the road-rail wheels can fold up thus lowering the model onto its road wheels and positioned in your depot, yard or beside the tracks.

With the Balfour Beatty logos added to either side of the main boom, body sides, front cab and the phone numbers included on the rear panel, this truly is a realistic piece of construction plant for your layout.
