Since January 2005, MyWebsiteSpace.co.uk has based all of our data centre handling at Croydon, Surrey.
By ensuring only industry recognised and awarded software and hardware providers, and installed by certified engineers, we have a network infrastructure using Cisco networking technology and HP servers that we know performs.
In June 2009, MyWebsiteSpace.co.uk updated all of the servers to the latest generation HP hardware and choosing Windows Server 2008 as our platform to base our next generation of business upon.
Our decision was based upon the improvements to IIS and the Windows Web platform, which is included in Windows Server 2008 R2.
This has enabled us to easily administer and support Web-based applications and has enhanced the security for Web-based applications, improved file-transfer services, the ability to extend the functionality and features for Web-based applications.
In addition to improved Web administration, Windows Server 2008 also includes , diagnostics, development, and application tools with Internet Information Services 7.0 (IIS 7.0), a major upgrade from IIS 6.0. Windows Server 2008 unifies the Microsoft Web publishing platform, including IIS 7.0, ASP.NET, Windows Communication Foundation, and Windows SharePoint Services
